We were very poor and my mother worked extremely hard to provide for our family. Our vegetable garden was life. But there was death, there, too.

My mother would send me out into the garden to collect and kill all of the caterpillars that were determined to rob our subsistence for their own. God I hated killing those caterpillars… because I knew that I was destroying the beauty that they would become.

So now I give those caterpillars back their┬ápath to a beautiful life through my art…

All of these paintings are oil-on-canvas, 36×45″. Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing, reproducing or showing this work.
